Current Project Dancer: Rachel Petersen is a frequent project dancer dancing in various works created by artistic director Crystal Lewis. Rachel has trained at the New School for the Arts and Academics, Pinnacle Academy of Dance, and Diverse Elements. She is now studying at Paradise Valley Community College and partakes in their dance program. PVCC is where Rachel met choreographer Crystal Lewis and has since danced in her innovative work for her dance company, Conversion Dance Project. Rachel recently placed 2nd in performance and 3rd in choreography in the 2015 Maricopa Community Colleges Choreography and Dance Competition. She has performed with Conversion Dance Project in the Beta Dance Festival, BLEND:Phoenix Meets Houston, and at the Third Annual Phoenix Festival of the Arts in 2014. Rachel is currently working on a new project with Crystal Lewis for 2015.

Current Project Dancer: Martha Hernandez is a frequent project dancer dancing various works created by artistic director, Crystal Lewis. Martha is a born native to Jalisco, Mexico. She was first a painter, and then began her dance training at Metropolitan Arts Institute in 2005. Martha gained additional training from Ballet Arizona, Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and martial arts. She has performed previously with Physical Graffiti, Center Dance Ensemble, and Roberto Villanueva’s BalaSole Dance Company at Dance Theatre Workshop in New York City. Aside from dancing as a project dancer with Conversion Dance Project, Martha is also a company dancer with MAC & Company and both a dancer and aerialist in Silks/Trapeze/Lyra for Scorpius Dance Theater. Recently earning her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance with an emphasis in Media for Dance from Arizona State University, she has produced many works that have earned her awards and recognition. Martha has performed with Conversion Dance Project in BLEND:Phoenix Meets Houston, the Beta Dance Festival and is currently working on a new project in development with artistic director Crystal Lewis for 2015.
